Britney Zapata-Montes is an undergraduate student at Florida International University, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Business with a certificate in Marketing Research and Analysis. The undergraduate program recently ranked No.2 by U.S. News & World Report.

During her first year at FIU, Zapata-Montes joined the International Business Honor Society to gain knowledge in her field of study. After being inducted into the International Business Honor Society, Britney was elected as the Director of the Bandhwari Women’s Project, the only student-led non-profit at FIU. In this capacity, she is passionately working towards the noble goal of empowering women from the Bandhwari village in India, by helping them achieve financial independence, break the cycle of poverty, and support their children’s education.

Apart from her dedication to social initiatives, Zapata-Montes is an active member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Business. In this role, she actively promotes the diverse opportunities available to business students on campus. As a first-generation student herself, Britney recognizes the importance of empowering students from underrepresented communities and is committed to helping them reach their full potential.

Zapata-Montes has a profound interest in all things data is rooted in her aspiration of acquiring knowledge and plans to apply this expertise in data analytics to her future career. She intends on using her skills to oversee and analyze metric data to evaluate marketing activities and identify opportunities for improvement.  Moreover, her interest in data analysis stems from her goal to acquire a global perspective on business and leverage this skillset to make a meaningful impact in her future career.
