Rachel Friedman

friedmanrachel 254229 98154 headshotRachel Friedman is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film with a minor in Communication Studies at Rowan University. Friedman is an avid lover of cinema, with a particular passion for film history. Friedman is dedicated to all things film and has a keen interest in writing screenplays, as well as providing commentary and critique about film. Rachel’s writing and directing of a personal new media project was nominated for Rowan’s 2022 Media Fest.

Additionally, Friedman is an active member of Rowan University’s Television Network, contributing to the production of content for their live studio shows. During her Television Production course, Friedman’s leadership qualities were recognized, as she was selected to be the producer of the class’ final thirty minute “TV Today” newscast project. She was tasked with facilitating and managing both the technical responsibilities, as well as personal needs, of her twenty four classmates to produce a quality program.

Furthermore, Rachel serves as the “New Member Educator” of the coed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, where she trains and indoctrinates the values of leadership and service to potential new members of the organization.

In the summer of 2024 after graduation, Rachel plans to further her studies in a graduate school program, to continue developing her craft studying and writing about film. Rachel strives to perpetuate and share her passion for film with others by preserving the rich history of cinema
through conversation and curation. She aspires to work within the multifaceted film industry, embracing the creative aspects of writing and directing, ultimately surrounded by the very thing in which she is most passionate.
