Women’s Media Center SheSource

Founded in 2005 by Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan, and Gloria Steinem, the WMC is an inclusive and feminist organization that works to ensure women’s realities are covered and women’s voices are heard.

WMC works to make women visible and powerful in the media. We do so by promoting women as decision-makers and as subjects in media; training women to be effective in media; researching and exposing sexism and racism in media; and creating original online and on-air journalism decision-making.

The Kopenhaver Center is proud to partner with the Women’s Media Center to highlight the distinguished female speakers featured in Shesource.

The Women’s Media Center SheSource is an online database of media-experienced women experts who are connected to journalists, bookers and producers looking for sources. The WMC SheSource makes it easier for journalists to include diverse women’s voices across all topics in their news coverage. The problem is that women are underrepresented in media.

SheSource is part of the solution. For a weekly email of experts on timely news topics or to follow them on Twitter, contact WMC SheSource.
