Laura Kurtzberg

Laura Kurtzberg is an Assistant Professor at CARTA’s School of Communication and Journalism, where she teaches courses in data visualization, web development, and digital media. After graduating from the University of Miami with an MFA in Interactive Media, Laura applied her software development and data analysis experience to work at the intersection of journalism and technology. Laura is particularly interested in telling stories about the Amazon rainforest, and has developed environmental data projects, news apps, and interactive maps for InfoAmazonia, Ambiental Media, and Mongabay.
