The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication has an active and engaged partnership with the Association for Education Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC)Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). The CSW website is a resource for scholars who are interested in the current activities of the CSW, as well as an archive for the history of the Commission.

The Center partners with CSW an annual pre-conference workshop at the AEJMC annual conference for women-identifying and non-binary faculty – Women Faculty Moving Forward. The Commission also hosts the Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Outstanding Early Career Scholar Award for honoring a woman-identifying early-career scholar who demonstrates outstanding research and potential for future scholarship. For more information on these programs, click on Women Faculty Moving Forward.

Those interested in CSW are encouraged to join our Facebook and LinkedIn Groups and follow us on Twitter @csw_aejmc to start and participate in discussions about current issues, events, and announcements. You can also reach out to Carolyn Nielsen, current Commission Head, at carolyn.nielsen@wwu.edu.
