Melissa Gomez pictureMelissa Gomez received an associate’s degree in Radio and Television Production in her home country, Colombia, where she later served as the Communications Coordinator and Content Creator for a software development project executed by the Industrial University of Santander and deployed nationally by the Ministry of Justice and Law.

Currently, Gomez is a senior at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, where she is advancing toward her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. As a curious and avid learner, Melissa was selected to participate in the Netflix Pathways Bootcamp, where she obtained a User Experience Research and Design certification last year.

Additionally, Gomez has honed her skills in production assistance for film in commercial and fiction sets and enjoys volunteering in support of student film projects, film festivals, and cultural events. Traveling and exploring is part of her hobbies and she is interested in the areas of media, leadership, arts, culture, education, and technology.

Melissa is a proactive and dedicated team player, passionate about working with diverse teams to create engaging digital content, compelling storytelling, innovative user experiences, and effective communications that inspire, empower, and captivate audiences while focusing on brand development and business success.
