Milan Gibson 

Milan Gibson is a Broadcast Media major at Florida International University, driven by a passion for storytelling through filmmaking across diverse platforms. Her background as a performer, dance teacher, and show producer honed her filmmaker and storyteller skills.

Gibson’s company; The Phoenix Project, sees a need for spaces of collaboration serving women and minority creatives especially in behind-the-camera roles such as scriptwriting, directing, show running and producing. She is a fellow at FIU’S Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator, a South Florida Black Journalist award recipient, with NYU Tisch Film and TV Essentials certification.

Milan spent years curating small production teams and script reading and is in the process of writing screenplays of her own. She is studying all aspects of filmmaking in order to become the most efficient director possible. While earning a master’s degree in film, this creator plans to pursue her career as a full-time Writer/Director, as well as studying law to efficiently manage herself in the industry.
