Associate Producer | WLRN Radio

I was born and raised in Miami by Cuban parents. I grew up and attended school from Pre-K to college in southwest Miami-Dade. I studied Journalism and Mass Communication at Florida International University and graduated in 2014. I’m currently an Associate Producer at WLRN Radio. I’ve been with WLRN for three years. Initially through an FIU course, then internship, freelance reporter and now producer. I also coordinate an oral history project for the HistoryMiami museum called Miami Stories. The project shares local’s takes on Miami that are archived at the museum, published in the Miami Herald and aired on WLRN. My work experiences have shown me the importance of engaging with communities. Wherever my career takes me, I hope to continue searching for voices and stories that help people connect with one another.
