LFP - Caridad Hernandez-Wood (Photo)Caridad Hernandez-Wood is the Executive Producer of Investigations and Special Projects for CBS4Miami. She is responsible for the production of stories generated by the team of investigators and reporters in her unit dedicated to bringing awareness to important issues in the South Florida community, exposing wrongdoing and keeping viewers up to speed on consumer, health, and entertainment news.

Prior to joining CBS4, Caridad was an Executive Producer for CNN Newsroom in Atlanta where she was responsible for the production of the two-hour morning news block. While at CNN, she also produced a program called ‘Education Makeover’ the shows focused on families struggling to improve the environment within their home in hopes of their children getting better grades in school. Caridad gained her experience as a producer by working at various television stations in both Miami and Philadelphia. She has worked at WSVN-7, WPLG-Channel 10 and NBC-6 Miami and NBC10 Philadelphia. She graduated from Florida International University where she majored in Broadcast Journalism.

For three years now, Caridad has served on the board of Urgent Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young minds to transform their communities. Caridad also volunteers on a yearly basis with the Asian American Journalist Association where she teaches Broadcast Journalism to high school students interested in pursuing Journalism. She currently resides in Aventura with her husband, Jason and 17-year old daughter, Kaela.
