What is Strategic Communication and Why is it Important?

Strategic Communication is a combination of both theory and practice that seeks to understand the effect of culture on all aspects of marketing communications. Globalization, global branding strategies, and classification models of culture are all issues covered within this study. Strategic Communications studies the dynamics of consumer behavior, trends in marketing strategies, and shifts in global culture.

Strategic thinking is crucial since it fuels creative processes. Strategic communication helps make creative ideas sound smart and strategically sound. In communication programs, for example, you learn the process of becoming a strategic creative and how to approach the creative side of the research process while uncovering “insights” that will lead to writing an effective creative strategy statement. Strategic communicators formulate communications strategies, creative briefs as well as develop solutions with their creative team based on their own strategies.
