Kopenhaver Center Hosts Free Webinar on Women Leadership in Building Brands

Marketing strategist Gabriela Alcantara-Diaz will discuss cultivating long-term consumer relationships on Oct. 21

NORTH MIAMI, FL – The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication invites professional women to attend the “How to Build Meaningful Consumer Brand Relationships in Today’s Diversified Marketplace” webinar. The free event will take place on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.

The talk and discussion with Gabriela Alcantara-Diaz, cultural strategist and president of GAD Marketing Communications Inc., is the second in a series this academic year at Florida International University.

Alcantara-Diaz will discuss the importance of building strong consumer brand relationships. The presentation will also cover the benefits of female leadership in building long-term consumer brand value.

“It is important being a female and bicultural to understand that, by default, you have a greater perspective as a marketer,” said Alcantara-Diaz. “We want to empower young women to understand how they can become more effective.”

With over 25 years of experience in advertising, Alcantara-Diaz is recognized for managing agencies’ multiple disciplines and cultivating long-lasting client relationships. Her expertise includes ensuring brand sustainability and growth potential by providing strategic communications guidance to a wide range of marketers. She was instrumental in introducing and solidifying brand leadership across the Hispanic sector for companies including Publix Super Markets and Johnnie Walker Black Label.

Participants can attend Alcantara-Diaz’s lecture in person at FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus in Academic Building II, Room 161. The campus is at 3000 NE 151 St., North Miami.
