8 Things We Wish Someone Would Invent

I just can’t find one piece of my pair of socks. I really wish there was an app for locating missing socks. You would think with all the inventions already made, life would be any easier. But no, we still have not invented the gadget to tell you where your missing keys are, or where you put your pen that you had just a minute ago. Life is so difficult with all these small things and how we wish someone would save us all the misery and make a device that will shut the barking dog. Below is a list of the things we really wish someone would invent and make life simpler.

1. Teleporting machine.

Today is your big day in the office or in school and of all days you have overslept and will be caught in traffic. Can’t someone just invest that teleporting machine that will make you be in the intended destination in a microsecond? We love our sleep and detest the idea of waking up very early to make it in time.

2. Cooling beds and pillows in warm nights

We have sheet and duvets for the cold nights but what of the warm nights? Are you always trying to squeeze yourself to that tiny cool spot on your bed or pillow? Maybe someone needs to come up with a pillow and bed that cools on warm nights so we can find some comfortable sleep.

3. Snooze button for kids

Oh kids and dear sleep. Just when you were catching some sweet sleep, they break out crying uncontrollably like that annoying alarm tone. Someone should invent a snooze button for kids so we can just shut them till we have had enough sleep then we can tend to them.

4. Instant cooling machine

So we can warm our food in an instant with the microwave but the reverse isn’t possible? How unfair? Let’s have a device that cools/chills our beer in 2 minutes. Someone made a microwave, let’s find him/her and make them do the same for a cooling device.

5. Locator for missing things

Economists should have a figure on how many man hours are wasted searching for misplaced keys. These hours would have driven the economy further forward. We all need that device that locates where our keys or remote controller and such things are hidden or where we threw them last night.

6. Robot house help

The house is in a mess and the visitors will be around in a moment. But we feel too lazy to fix the house. How about a robot that does all of that? House chores are a bother and we are too lazy to keep the house in order. A robot that keeps everything in place, dusts the house, cleans the house will be a welcome addition to the endless list of inventions.

7. Dream store

Last night’s dream was so interesting but you can barely remember it save for it being interesting. You dreamt about someone but you can’t remember the dream the next morning. A gadget that captures all our dreams for review the next morning would really be the best invention yet. Plus it should have a firewall that blocks and deletes the nightmares so we don’t experience them.

8. Female interpreter

Your girlfriend just said she is fine though she’s been sulking all morning? Definitely you are in trouble but you have no idea what you did. Men need that auto mood detector and interpreter device for what “I’m okay” means depending on the situation. Otherwise you are in trouble. Alternatively, women should come with a manual with a possible definition of “I’m fine” varying with circumstances.

Its 2014 and life is not any easier. Kids still cry whole night and we have to wake up early to school or to work. We can’t find our keys and we are running late. There is still a lot of room for improvement in the world of invention. If anything, it’s the simple things in life that are more infuriating like misplaced shoes. Inventions like these will make life a smooth sail because we would use them on daily basis.
