Olivia de Guzman is a theatre maker, musician, and member of Actor’s Equity Association. Since 2004, she has performed on the majority of stages in her home base of Dallas-Ft. Worth and received DFW Critics Forum Awards for acting and composition. She is the first AAPI member of the Brierley Resident Acting Company at Dallas Theater Center. Olivia has toured the US and Canada and her New York work includes NYC Fringe, New Dramatists, and as a writer/actor, NYMF. She also has extensive experience as a vocalist and keyboardist, owned and ran an arts space/coffee house for 8 years, and has designed escape rooms professionally. Olivia has taught music and acting since 2008 and joined the FIU Theatre faculty in 2023 to lead their new and exciting BFA Musical Theatre degree program.
