Event Policies

Box Office

Tickets may be purchased online through our website http://theatre.fiu.edu. You may call the box office at 305-348-0548 or email at theatre@fiu.edu should you have any questions.

The theatre box office is located to the right of the WPAC rotunda. The Box Office opens one hour prior to every performance.

Refunds/Exchanges

There are no refunds or exchanges. For further information, please call the Theatre Box Office at 305-348-0548.

Student Lab Tickets

Students enrolled in face-to-face (not online) Introduction to Acting and Theatre Appreciation classes are entitled to one complimentary ticket to shows produced during the semester they are enrolled in the class. Tickets must be reserved online using the comp code provided in class at least 24 hours before the performance they wish to attend. Any unclaimed tickets will be released five minutes prior to the start of the performance. If you arrive after the cut-off, your seat is no longer guaranteed.

Late Seating

To avoid disturbing both the actors and other patrons, late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager in a special late-seating section at the rear of the theatre. If that section becomes full, late arrivals will need to wait until intermission or another pre-determined break in the show to be seated.

For some shows in our Black Box theatre, the seating configuration does not allow for a late seating section. For those shows, there will be no late seating.

Parking

Parking for the Wertheim Performing Arts Center is available in Lot 5 (just east of the WPAC). Parking is $3 and can be paid using the Pay By Phone app on your smartphone (location code 20032) or the automated kiosk.

Smoking

Florida International University is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus.

Children

Most events require that an attending child have their own ticket, regardless of age.

Certain performance content may require parental discretion. We will attempt to make this known in such cases, but please ask should you have any questions.

Cameras & Recording Devices

Photography and video/audio recording of any kind (including cell phones) is strictly prohibited.

Cell Phones and Electronic Devices

Please turn off all electronic devices and refrain from texting or answering phone calls.

Food and Beverage

Food, beverage, and chewing gum may not be brought into or consumed in our theatres. We thank you for helping us keep our theatres clean.
