Editors contest awards

FIU dominated the student division of the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors Contest, the state’s most important journalism competition, this year taking first places in virtually every significant division from breaking news to investigative to audio, commentary and sports.

Congratulations go to the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media faculty, particularly Steve Kairalla, Neil Reisner, Allan Richards, Laura Kurtzberg, Mercedes Vigon, Alejandro Alvarado, and Tim Sullivan, as well as to the student winners:
