Advising Appointments
Advertising and Public Relations Advising
Our academic advisors are available to provide guidance as students work towards realizing both personal and professional goals. If you have a general advising question, please email commarts@fiu.edu.
Appointments
Walk-ins are welcome during the scheduled times (first-come, first-served).
If you are an out-of-state student and are unable to come to campus for an appointment, phone advising is available to you during regular office hours. For phone advising, please remember to select the “Chat by appointment option” in the appointment request tab located in the student dashboard.
Our advisors are located in VH 204, VH 205, and VH 206.
Making an appointment with your Communication Arts advisor
1. Go to my.fiu.edu.
2. Go to Student Dashboard.
3. Click on Appointment Request tab. The availability for appointments, phone chats, and walk-in times are displayed for the next 2 weeks.
4. Select the appointment date and time you want.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on “Reserve Appointment.” Note: Please make sure to arrive or call in for your appointment on time.

Tuesday
9:00 – 12:00 by appointment
1:00 – 4:00 open walk-in
