Dr. Alejandro Alvarado is a communications consultant with proven track record in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism and academia. He is the Coordinator of the Spanish-language Journalism Master’s program, and Spanish-language Editor of the South Florida News Service. He co-chairs the annual Journalists and Editors Workshop, and was Chair of the Hispanic Communications Conference Series, and Director of the Telemundo Hispanic Media Futures Program at Florida International University. As a journalist, Dr. Alvarado has an extensive career that includes broadcast, print, and digital media. He was the producer and host of CBS-Telenoticias daily business-news segment and as a business anchor for the show “Gira Europea”; copy editor and producer at Univision’s show “Aquí y Ahora” and Managing Editor of CNet Latin America. He is founder and president of Alvarado Communications, a consulting public relations firm, and founder and communication strategist at 720 Grados, a political consulting firm.
