Dr. González Perez is a seasoned media executive and educator with over 35 years of experience in radio, television, print, and digital media content creation. Since 2018, he has been teaching at the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media at Florida International University, where he specializes in multimedia production, digital storytelling, and emerging media. In addition to his academic role, González provides coaching and consulting services to major media organizations, including Voice of America, the Associated Press, and the Telemundo Station Group. Over the past two decades, he has led the technological evolution of newsrooms, managing its direct impact on journalistic practices and workflows. His work has been recognized with multiple industry honors, including Emmy Awards, Golden Mikes, and the RTDNA Communicator Award. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, González earned his B.A. in Communications from the University of the Sacred Heart and a Master of Science in Broadcasting from Boston University. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
